And we are doing our bit for the environment by recycling old cars.
MATERIALS
The Rinato's are built using as much of the donor car as is feasible. As we like to use the worst car we can find this means not much more than the front cross member and engine. The engine is of course rebuild to exacting and improved standards.
The chassis users elliptical main tubing from the original supplier to Maserati and Ferrari.
The body of course is hand formed aluminium.
METHOD
We have our own unique approach to designing and building cars. It is loosely based on the SuperLeggera method of a tubular cage and lightweight hand formed aluminium skin.
We do not use a timber forming buck, our buck is a modularised steel cage, that we feel is a work of art in itself.
The body is hand formed using the traditional Italian method of a Hammer.
SKILLS
Rod and Vaughan are partners in Carrozzeria Rinato and Brian is the other key team member.
